Peruvian Paso HorsesThe Peruvian Paso Horse is an equestrian jewel inherited from the Viceroyalty of Peru, a product of five hundred years of natural and functional selection that entered Argentina in the XVIII century. Its genetic inheritance combines both the features of the bereber horse —which gives it its endurance and tendency to amble— and the Andalucian horse —which provides it with its proud gait y arrogant air. In the gait of the Peruvian Paso, known as broken ambling, the legs of one side rise at the same time and the footfall is first hind and then front, which results in a four-beat lateral gait. The smoothness of the mouth and docility of temperament make the animal be eager to offer its brio (spirit) and strength to the rider, which produces a perfect blend of great beauty and appearance. These qualities, together with its endurance and rusticity, merge in the Peruvian Paso Horse to create a perfect combination of exquisite elegance and smoothness in the ride. Thanks to the its even gait, the rider can enjoy long rides without absorbing the impact on his body. At Haras Ampachi, we give you the opportunity to get in contact with the breed, watch the activities of the horse preparation, and acquire the necessary know-how to fully enjoy the experience of riding a Peruvian Paso Horse. In our daily work, we are guided by both the lineage of the breed and also our commitment to the final user; so, only those horses that meet our demanding functional and sanitary standards are available for sale. |
