HARAS AMPASCACHI RIDING

Enjoy the pleasure of riding, with elegance and excellence.

The Spirit

On the back of a horse you can reach one-of-a-kind scenery and trails and discovering them on the pride of a Peruvian Paso is an unforgettable experience.
This is why we are proud to offer our high-end riding, where nature and horses come together in a special way.

Activities begin with a day on our ranch.  There the staff helps the group of riders pick out those horses that best fit their personalities and requirements.  Then the guide and coordinator explain the details of the path to be followed, going over each point of the trail and offering the necessary instructions so that everything goes along perfectly.
The trails span over several days, with base camps in the mountains, which allow you to experience the region’s countryside, without giving up a good night’s sleep.
Along with each stop and resting point are regional flavors that are spiced up with mountain aromas together with good wine or typical “mate” tea, relaxed conversation and shared silences.

The Trails

The different trails explore the heart of the Sierras Grandes, passing through rivers, valleys, mountains and wildly beautiful scenery, such as Pampa de Achala.  This plateau rises over 2000 meters (6500 feet) above sea level and is thought to be a sort of “island in the sky” due to its particular geographic features.
The solid mountains that surround this formation, the winds that fly across it and the way the rivers are laid out and flow provide the perfect conditions for the area to have its own ecosystem, where one-of-a-kind animals and plants can be found.
Treading along this land on the back of comfortable and hearty horse such as the Peruvian Paso offers riders the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and fully experience the many different shades it has to offer.

During the entire journey we are accompanied by the local culture and people living simple lives.  Posts, “estancias” or ranches and mountain havens offer us sincere hospitality, open arms and simple traditions.
History is also present when we visit La Candelaria, which is a Jesuit Estancia located in Pampa de Olaen dating back to the mid-seventeenth century.
This establishment, which was declared part of the World Heritage by UNESCO, is a beautiful example of the tenacity and constancy that allowed the Jesuits to establish themselves in the harsh mountain areas and develop different productive activities there.

To get away from the daily grind, to get back to nature or to remember old historic deeds. Whatever the reason you will find the perfect option among the different programs we have designed for you.
